Sheep Gestation Calculator is operated by a small team that builds free agricultural tools for shepherds and small-flock owners. We take privacy seriously because we know our visitors often share details about their farms, breeding records, and ewe health. This page explains exactly what data we handle and what we don't.

What the Calculator Stores

The sheep gestation calculator runs entirely in your browser. When you enter a breeding date, breed, or litter size, that information stays on your device. Nothing is transmitted to our servers, and nothing about your flock is logged or stored on our side. If you download a prediction file, it is generated locally and saved straight to your computer.

Your browser may keep your most recent inputs in local storage (separate from cookies) so the calculator remembers your last breed selection between visits. You can clear this at any time through your browser's site data settings.

What We Don't Collect

We do not require an account, an email address, or any registration. We do not collect names, postal addresses, GPS coordinates, flock identifiers, registered breeder numbers, or any other personally identifying information. Submitting an email through our contact link is voluntary; we use that email only to reply.

Analytics

We use privacy-first analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible) to count page views and understand which articles are useful to readers. These services do not set cookies, do not fingerprint visitors, and do not create profiles that follow you across other websites. Aggregated metrics like "500 people read the lambing pen guide this week" are all we see.

Advertising

We may display contextual ads through Google AdSense to help fund the site. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings. If ads are not currently enabled on this site, no advertising cookies are placed.

Cookies and Local Storage

We do not set first-party cookies for tracking. We do use browser localStorage to remember small UI preferences (such as the calculator step you were on, or your light/dark mode choice). You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because we don't collect personal data through the calculator itself, this primarily applies to any email correspondence you initiate. If you have written to us and would like that thread deleted, send a request from the same email address and we will delete it within 30 days.

Children

Our site is general-audience educational content suitable for agricultural students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Updates to This Policy

We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever this policy changes. Material changes (for example, adding a third-party service that uses cookies) will also be flagged on the homepage for at least two weeks.
